Please take some time to familiarise yourself with these terms and conditions.
Inspired Academy Terms & Conditions
Course Fees
All course fees may be paid directly to Inspired Academy, and subsequent payments are made in accordance with the payment schedule established at the time of enrolment and payable to Inspired Academy or in accordance with that established schedule.
At the time of enrolment students are required to pay the course fees, which includes a non-refundable enrolment fee of $250.00, either upfront or via a payment plan. These fees include access to the learning materials, from the course start date to the course end date inclusive, via the online platform, the online course learning platforms and exercise videos. Essential readings, assessment re-submissions, course extensions or deferrals and mentoring sessions are not included in the course fees. If students wish to retain access to the online learning platform and exercise videos after the course end date they may apply for Alumni access following the course end date
Student Support & Readiness
We believe in transparency at the time of pre-enrolment for all students and have developed the following checklist for all students to cross-check before submitting their enrolment form to study online with Inspired Academy. Students enrolling should have
- Adequate numeracy and literacy skills
- Adequate digital literacy skills
- The required resources to learn by distance including access to a suitable computer, compatible operating system and adequate internet access
- An understanding of any parts of the training and assessment they are unable to complete which may attract additional fees (see below)
- An understanding of how they will arrange work experience (including both observation and assisted teaching) in real or simulated environments – for example in conjunction with an existing studio or online via mentoring sessions (fees apply)
- An understanding of the timeframes required for completion of the course
Refunds
Students who have paid course fees (full, partial or via a payment plan) and withdraw from the course are not entitled to a refund. If medical circumstances indicate a student is medically unfit to continue with the course and the student has provided evidence from a medical professional that they will be unfit to continue study in an ongoing capacity, a partial refund may be issued on a pro-rata basis based on the date the student submits the withdrawal form, minus the $250.00 enrolment fee. The refund amount, if applicable, will be calculated on the date on the student’s withdrawal form and where that date falls within the course delivery dates as outlined in the table below. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days after your refund request has been approved. If the student is on a payment plan and the payments made to date total less than the course progress, the student will be required to transfer the additional monies in order to withdraw from the course. Bank fees incurred by transferring money are the sole responsibility of the enrolled student
Module | Course Withdrawal Pro-rata Refunds if Medically Unfit |
Fees paid in full or through a payment plan* | |
0-25% of the course | Full refund of any payments made (minus enrolment fee) |
26-50% of the course | 50% refund of the total course cost (minus enrolment fee) |
51-75% of the course | 25% refund of the total course cost (minus enrolment fee) |
76-99% of the course | 0% refund of the total course cost |
Course Timeframes
Our courses run for 6 months. The course start date is the student’s enrolment date for all online students and the first day in which students gain access to the online learning platform and exercise videos. For an in-person student, the course start date is the date in the course outline for that specific course. Access to the online learning materials and exercise videos will cease from the course end date, or if the student withdraws – from the date of withdrawal. If graduating students wish to retain access to the online learning platform and exercise videos they may apply for Alumni access following the course end date unless they are seeking a course extension in which case access will remain included for the duration of the course extension period.
Fees & Charges
Fee | Fee (AUD) | Description |
Enrolment | $250.00 | An enrolment fee applies to all students applying for entry into a Inspired Academy course, and is included in the overall course cost. If the student is successful following processing of their application they will be granted access to the course. If the student is unsuccessful following processing of their application they will not be granted access to the course and their enrolment fee will be refunded. |
Course extensions | $150.00 per month | Valid to commence from the course end date (180 days after the course commencement date). Extensions are available for a maximum of three months. Fees will be payable at the time of extension to maintain access to the online course learning materials and platform.
Following three consecutive monthly extensions the student’s access to the course will be archived with access to the online learning materials to cease. If the student wishes to re-enrol and choose future dates their course records can be reinstated and credit applied for modules assessed and marked competent in the original course intake. |
Re-enrolment | $250.00 | Re-enrolment may occur if a student extends their course more than three consecutive months beyond the course end date (180 days after the course commencement date) and wishes to continue studying over future dates. Students may re-enrol if they wish to stop the course altogether and move it to a future date. |
Deferment | $150.00 | If a student wishes to defer their course to the next in-person course available they may do so and get RPL for any modules successfully completed. A form must be completed within the student portal and payment must be made at the time of form submission to have a successful deferral. |
Mentoring session | $95.00 | When booking a mentoring session (online or in-person) with an Inspired Academy Trainer the fee is payable at the time of booking and secures the appointment. A 24-hour cancellation period applies. Cancellations within the 24-hour period or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the session fee. |
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) | $100.00 | RPL may be applied for modules throughout the course. If RPL is awarded the RPL fee of $100 will be deducted off the total course fees. If RPL is not awarded and/or no enrolment takes place the RPL fee of $100 is NOT refunded. |
Assessment resubmission | $150.00 | Charged for any assessment tasks submitted outside of the due dates or scheduled time frames for assessment tasks for the course. This additional fee will be payable at the time of resubmission of the relevant assessment task in order for an Inspired Academy Academy Trainer to assess the work outside of the agreed time frames. Students are unable to graduate without completing all requirements of the course including being marked as Competent for assessment tasks. |
Duplicate certificate | $25.00 + printing & postage where required | Requests for duplicate or replacement certificates will be processed within 3-5 business days. The duplicate certificate fee will be applicable upon request of the certificate and delivered electronically unless specifically requested via post where required. Printing and postage fees will be applicable above the duplicate certificate fee in that instance. |
Course Materials
Inspired Academy course materials are provided electronically via our online learning platform with students issued login and password details to access course materials between the course start date (course enrolment date) and the course end date.
Issuing of qualification or certificates
When a student has successfully completed all assessment tasks with a Competent marking and accrued all hours within the identified time frame they will receive the qualification they have enrolled in. Where a student does not meet the requirements within the timeframe specified they will be issued a statement of completion for the modules for which they have demonstrated competency for and completed.
Record keeping - student files
A student file is kept by Inspired Academy, containing copies of all documentation, correspondence relating to the student’s enrolment and copies of assessment tasks. Students may request access to their files by applying in writing to Inspired Academy.
Complaints and appeals
Appeals relate to assessment decisions, see the section below on assessment tasks and reassessment. Complaints relate to all other issues a student may have with Inspired Academy. Inspired Academy accepts and provides credit to students for units of competency and/or modules where these are evidenced by: Australian Quality Framework (AQF) certification, documentation issued by a Registered Training Organisation or AQF authorised issuing organisation, or authenticated VET transcripts issued by the Registrar. Assessment
Our course assessment tasks cover
- Written assessments and quizzes
- Practical demonstration assessments via video submission
- Teaching assessments via video submission
Due Dates
You can submit any assessment tasks by the course end date along with your final hours log
- A trainer will grade and mark your assessment task within 10 business days from submission and return feedback to you via email with a mark of Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC)
- If you are graded as NYC the Trainer will give you specific feedback and you will then need to pay the assessment resubmission fee as per the Terms and Conditions for a second, and any additional, resubmission/s
Submission
Students are responsible for ensuring that assessment tasks are successfully completed and submitted within the due dates or scheduled time frames for assessment. Assessment tasks should be submitted as outlined in the relevant module, via electronic format. Students should allocate sufficient time to adequately address technical difficulties as administrative or technical failures will not be considered special considerations nor extensions be granted on the basis of such failures.
Reasonable adjustments
Students disclosing a disability, including a learning difficulty, at enrolment may apply for reasonable adjustments to be made to the assessment tasks. Requests can be made via hello@inspiredacademy.com.au following enrolment and when the course materials become available.
Special considerations and extensions
If a student is unable to submit their outstanding assessment tasks and final hours log by the course end date due to ill health then the student assessment extension form must be completed and submitted along with documentary evidence such as a medical certificate at least 10 business days prior to the course end date. Failure to do so will result in the student being required to apply for a paid course extension.
Outcomes
- Competent – the student has met the criteria and satisfied the learning outcomes
- Not Yet Competent – the student has not yet demonstrated the requirements of the criteria or learning outcomes
Where a student has been marked as Not Yet Competent the student will be notified of what additional work and evidence is required to demonstrate competency, and the student may resubmit in accordance with the above due date options.
Student Etiquette
- Disrespect or verbal abuse to others
- Failure to adhere to workplace health and safety requirements
- Non-payment of scheduled fees
- Deliberate mistreatment of equipment
- Bullying and harassment
If three written warnings are issued within the course timeframe the student will be issued a final warning indicating the behaviour in breach of the guidelines, or the recurring pattern of behaviour of concern, the conduct or standard of behaviour which is required and a timeframe within which the student must demonstrate changed behaviour. If there is no change in behaviour within the specified time frame the student will be dismissed from the remainder of the course, and unable to continue. The student will not be entitled to a refund but may apply for a statement of completion for modules completed successfully. The following actions will result in instant dismissal and removal of the student from the course intake, including access to the online learning platform. Students who are instantly dismissed must not claim to be associated with The Studio Academy whatsoever from the date of dismissal.

The student will be invoiced upon receipt of the associated replacement or repairs to stolen or damaged property for the amount equivalent to such replacement or repairs, or for the associated remedy. Inspired Academy must provide copies of the quote or receipt from any third-party providers to indicate the amount of monies owed. Should the student fail to pay the deemed amount within three (3) months from the date of invoice issued the matter will be referred to a third party debt collection service.
